Xsolla to showcase new products at gamescom and devcom 2022

August 24, 2022
Do everything the app stores do - for only 5%. Find out about Web Shop for Mobile Games.

Products include a new Pay Station, improved mobile Web Shop, Multi-Platform Publishing, game funding, and more.

In Cologne, Germany, from  August 22 - 28, Xsolla will present four informative speaking sessions and showcase many of their products at devcom, Europe’s biggest game developer, community-driven industry conference, and gamescom, the world’s largest computer and video games event.

These sessions will include a talk from Xsolla president Chris Hewish, and alongside these presentations, attendees will be able to meet with Xsolla experts and preview the video game commerce solutions that Xsolla offers.

Having a platform to share Xsolla’s vision with those who are just as passionate about the gaming industry as we are is beyond exciting,

said Chris.

We look forward to speaking with and meeting people from across the globe who share our philosophy to help make gaming available for everyone. Whether you are a big AAA studio or an indie game developer just starting your journey, we are here to help make your game and business a success.

Hewish’s talk, titled “Heavy indie gamers: Who are they and how do you sell your game to them?” (Tuesday, August 23 | 5:00pm - 5:30pm  [Add to Calendar]) will answer questions about what kind of games interest indie gamers, and what’s the best way to market your game to them. This insight will include key findings from internal research and tools that indie game developers need for success.

Xsolla is also leading a number of other talks during both events:

  • “Smart payment strategies for amplifying game revenue” (Monday, August 22 | 12:00pm - 12:30pm   [Add to Calendar]) will cover how being payment savvy in more regions will increase conversion rates, LTVs, and ARPUs.
  • “Reading mobile gaming’s monetization tea leaves” (Monday, August 22 | 3:00pm - 3:30pm [Add to Calendar]) will teach attendees how to maximize their customer base engagement and augment their revenue streams by creating a compelling web shop to increase conversion rates, LTVs, and ARPUs in the changing mobile market.
  • “Let’s talk game fun-ding” (Tuesday, August 23 | 2:30pm - 3:00pm  [Add to Calendar]) presented by Rami Ismail and Justin Berenbaum will be a fun, unfiltered fireside chat about the history and current landscape of game funding.

Xsolla will also showcase their overhauled Pay Station, which is currently the only cross-platform branded payment experience in the video game market. It features an optimized user flow for an improved purchasing experience, a customizable user interface, streamlined mobile payments, and full support for mobile wallets worldwide. Mikhail Zakharenkov, Lead Producer at Nexters, said the company is “thrilled to be an early adopter of the new Payments Solution from Xsolla."

Xsolla will also present an improved Web Shop for mobile games. This tool now provides more opportunities for mobile game developers to power up marketing efforts and engage users directly by offering expanded bundles, custom online store experiences, and unique promotions personalized to players worldwide.

Xsolla’s Multi-Platform Publishing solution will also be on display, with an advanced set of features intended for mobile game developers to support mobile game delivery to PC and the web. The tool offers a customizable, brandable client app and seamless one-click authentication support, which will help mobile developers reach new audiences at a lower acquisition cost while raising player loyalty and LTV at the same time. This combination of convenience and customization should lead to an increase in revenue and player count.

The company’s new funding program, Xsolla Accelerator, is now available for independent studios to seek guidance and investment support and will also be highlighted during the event. Along with connections to a global network of publishers and investors, game developers can apply to educational programs led by industry mentors that will help shape their game and content production. The program gives developers the opportunity to receive a bridge fund of up to $100,000 to prepare them for the next stage of business valuations and investments.

Additionally, Xsolla Payouts, Xsolla’s solution for streamlining mass payouts to hundreds of or even thousands of individuals, will be on display. The unique infrastructure of this solution helps developers manage multiple contracts with users and content creators while simultaneously handling complicated tax reporting and calculations. The end result means that game developers will have less to worry about and reduced risk when paying out content creators and other contacts.
